Epilepsy Foundation Texas

The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 to improve the lives of the almost 100,000 adults and children with epilepsy in the 100 counties of north and southeast Texas. The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas is an affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation, the national organization located in Landover, Maryland.

Kamp Kaleidoscope

This week long camp experience for young people age15-19 will be held at Camp For All in Burton, TXthe week of August 17th-22nd. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors this camp is offered at no cost to our families.

Expressions of Courage Art Contest

Art is an essential part of the human experience. Now in it's sixth year, the Expressions of Courage national art contest sponsored by Ortho McNeil Neurologics in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation provides people with epilepsy the opportunity to showcase their talents and their perspectives of
the world around them through art and share their experiences with others. People with epilepsy of all ages are encouraged to submit original artwork in
any flat medium that is no larger than 8 1/2 by 11to the Expressions of Courage contest. To learn more visit www.expressionsofcourage.com.

Our Mission

The Epilepsy Foundation of Texas-Houston/Dallas/Ft.Worth is a not for profit organization that helps individuals and their families living with epilepsy. Epilepsy affects people of all ages, races, and ethnic backgrounds. More than 2.5 million Americans live with epilepsy. Each year, 181,000 Americans will develop seizures and epilepsy for the first time.

Since 1983, the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas has worked to improve the lives of 100,000 adults and children, with seizure disorders, in 31 counties of southeast Texas. In 2005 the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas assumed the territory of greater north Texas with 67 counties, to include, 133,000 individuals with seizure disorders. Today we are now known as the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas-Houston/Dallas/Fort Worth.
